Basic characteristics:
The diesel rotary drilling rig SBSh “Uragan” is designed for drilling vertical and inclined (from 0 to 30˚ to the vertical in 5° increments) blastholes (rotary method with sludge removal by compressed air) in open-pit mining and other drilling and blasting operations in rocks with a hardness factor of 8-18 (according to the Protodyakonov scale) in areas with moderate and cold climates of -40⁰С…+40⁰С.
The rig is a self-propelled, maneuverable tracked drilling rig with a hydraulic motor-driven drill string and hydraulic face feed. The platform, the rig’s load-bearing component, is a metal structure with consoles supporting the operator’s cabin and a water tank or dust aspiration system, depending on the dust suppression method. The mast is a welded, open-truss structure mounted on supports at the front of the platform. The rig’s components are interconnected and operated using hydraulic, hydropneumatic, and electrical systems. A self-contained internal combustion engine ensures high mobility without the need to reinstall quarry electrical systems.
