Basic characteristics:
The electric rotary drilling rig SBSh “Buran” is designed for drilling vertical and inclined (from 0 to 30° to the vertical, increment 5°) blastholes (rotary method with removal of cuttings by compressed air) in open-pit mining, and other drilling and blasting operations in rocks with a hardness factor of 8-18 (according to the Protodyakonov scale) in regions with a moderate and cold climate.
The rig is a self-propelled, maneuverable tracked drilling rig with an electric motor for drill string rotation and hydraulic feed to the face. The engine compartment is the rig’s load-bearing part and is a metal structure with consoles supporting the operator’s cabin and a water tank or dust aspiration system, depending on the dust suppression type. The mast is a welded, closed-truss, spatial structure mounted on supports at the front of the engine compartment. The rig’s components are interconnected and operated by hydraulic, hydropneumatic, and electrical systems. The rig is powered by either a 380V or 6000V electrical network.
